Our Full-Page “Parks, Not Parkways” Ad in the Peterborough Examiner
Our campaign is escalating!
Your donations and passionate responses to our petition made this full-page ad in the November 7th Peterborough Examiner possible. The ad’s message:
“Mayor Bennett and members of Council, we want Parks, not Parkways. We are deeply concerned with current proposals to pave the Parkway corridor and build a bridge through Jackson Park. There are better choices for our City’s transportation and other needs.”

From our open letters series….As an active member of this community, I do not believe that building a parkway through Jackson Park is in the best interest of the people of this city. As a local taxpayer and voter, I am writing to make known my aversion to this project. The impact on the biodiversity and wildlife habitats in the area will be irreversible. Continue reading
